GO FOR RESOURCES:  Internet Movie Database
 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the Internet Movie Database?  — Located at us.imdb.com, this is the very best resource on the Internet to find information on thousands of movies from the 1890s to the 2010s. Every movie lists its known cast and crew, and then, by clicking on a person's name, you can then go to that person's résumé where you can then move to even more titles.

Should I be listed in it?  — The IMDB started out in the early 1990s, but it became bigger than ever after being purchased by amazon.com. A lot more people know about it now, and, more importantly, a lot more film professionals know about it. I personally have been in many production offices where a producer did not bother to call someone and request a résumé, but instead just looked him or her up online. Whether it's fair or not, the IMDB is, in essence, your online résumé. If it's complete and correct, it can lead to more work for you. If it's incomplete or wrong, you're not only losing work, but potentially losing jobs that you had no idea were even considering you at all (and you wondered why the phone never rang). So, yes, you definitely should be properly listed in the Internet Movie Database!

Can I add myself to the IMDB?  — Yes, but I'll warn you that it's cumbersome for most people and quite difficult for others. The IMDB has very strict rules for submissions, and a tiny mistake can mess up your page for weeks or even months while you try to fix it. The process is always time-consuming too since there is at least a four-week turn-around for most entries and you have to keep on top of the updates every week.

So, I guess you can do it for me, right?  — Absolutely. I've been using the IMDB since it started, so I've learned the ins and outs for making the process go as smoothly as possible. In addition to keeping my own page current, I've done the same for many, many other films, actors, and crew members over the years.

I'm sold. How much do you charge?  — I charge a one-time flat fee of just $100 which includes me working on your IMDB page for all the weeks or months that it takes to get it online and up-to-date. Make your payment below, then upload to me your résumé, and then I'll get the process started immediately....
